CSAS News 2006/2007 Summary
The summer season of 2006 saw a variety of activities, from assisting lake coring researchers, to assisting geologists monitoring the Rio Grande Rift, to presenting the preliminary findings of our dust-on-snow research to a number of Colorado water stake-holder groups. New partnerships were explored while hosting visitors to our study area, and the CSAS's role as a research facilitator was highlighted at a bi-annual, international snow conference. Monsoon rains resulted in a very wet Fall but didn't thwart the installation of additional instrumentation at our study sites, enhancing our data collection capabilities for the approaching winter.
